Rockalta didn’t begin as Rockalta; originally it was Apex Welding. Charlie the founder of Rockalta started in the late 1960’s with Apex and soon expanded to Rockalta Stables in the mid 1970’s.
By 1981 Rockalta Trailers was born as a family ran business; father and son working side by side maintaining and repairing all makes and models of trailers.
Soon after Kevin completed his education and received a welder’s journeyman ticket, Rockalta expanded even further by implementing a fabricating division.
Rock Alta also began building aluminum roof racks for plumbing and electrical company vans.
For many years father and son worked together servicing, modifying and customizing trailers.
They also built customer driven projects from farm equipment such as round bale feeders, fertilizer legs, and bale haulers to custom truck decks.
Then in 1997 we lost our founder Charlie, leaving Kevin to lead the way into the future.
Charlie would be proud as Kevin has kept his legacy alive with the same standards that Charlie himself believed in: ” treat each customer fairly and always do your utmost to meet the customers’ needs”.
Kevin has managed Rockalta over the years keeping his father’s dream in mind serving the public by creating a unique repair shop taking on many different jobs, from agricultural repairs and hydraulic repairs to custom welding jobs with an occasional motorcycle or hotrod modification. Kevin has promised to continue with the family tradition and will one day pass it down to his sons.
We DO NOT DO Automotive repairs or wood work, but if you can dream it we can probably built in it in metal.
Kevin is known as the Aluminum Guru; Master of the Metal Church.
